Dr. Saffrin has practiced Urology in Lake County continuously for over 20 years. He has several areas of interest and expertise. He is experienced in DaVinci robotic surgery. He has broad experience in urologic cancer care and the medical and surgical treatment of urologic stone disease. He has performed thousands of vasectomies and prostate laser surgeries. He is on the forefront of overactive and painful bladder syndrome treatments.

Dr. Saffrin Is a 1984 graduate of Indiana University and received his medical degree with honors from The Chicago Medical School in 1989. He completed his six years of general surgical and urologic training at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Saffrin is actively involved in research and has authored a number of articles on urologic health. He served as the Chief Resident in Urology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Saffrin has been board certified in adult and pediatric urology by the American Board of Urology since 1997 and is an active member of the American Urologic Association. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of many honorary and academic medical societies.
