Robert S. Saffrin MD FACS
Dr. Robert Saffrin is a board certified urologist with more than 30 years of continuous practice in Lake County, Illinois. He provides comprehensive urologic care and is known for his experience, consistency, and commitment to helping patients manage both routine and complex urologic conditions.
Dr. Saffrin earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 1984 and received his medical degree with honors from The Chicago Medical School in 1989. He completed six years of combined general surgery and urology residency training at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he also served as Chief Resident in Urology.
Dr. Saffrin has been board certified in both adult and pediatric urology by the American Board of Urology since 1997. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Urological Association, as well as several honorary and academic medical societies. He remains involved in clinical research and has authored multiple articles on urologic health.
Throughout his career, Dr. Saffrin has maintained a broad and active practice. He emphasizes clear communication, practical treatment planning, and long term relationships with his patients.
