Mackenzie Jensen, PAC, is a certified Physician Assistant dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality urologic care to patients at UroPartners throughout the Chicagoland area. She is known for her patient-focused approach, clear communication, and commitment to individualized care, with a special interest in oncologic urology and voiding dysfunction disorders.
Mackenzie earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Chamberlain University in Chicago, graduating with academic distinction honors and serving as a mentor to first-year PA students. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in nutrition from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, graduating with honors.
She brings a broad and well-rounded clinical background with hands-on training in urology at Cook County Health, alongside experience in general surgery, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and obstetrics and gynecology. This diverse training allows Mackenzie to thoughtfully evaluate urologic concerns, utilize evidence-based guidelines such as NCCN and AUA protocols, and support comprehensive care planning.
Mackenzie works closely with UroPartners physicians to ensure patients receive coordinated, evidence-based care. She places a strong emphasis on patient education and culturally sensitive communication, helping individuals understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and next steps with confidence. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys reading, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and spending time outdoors.
Conditions Treated
Mackenzie assists in the evaluation and management of a wide range of adult urologic conditions, including:
- Urological cancers and cancer screening surveillance
- Voiding dysfunction disorders
- Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH / enlarged prostate)
- Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- Urinary frequency, urgency, and discomfort
- Kidney stone symptoms and nephrolithiasis follow-up care
- Overactive bladder and urinary incontinence
- Hematuria (blood in the urine)
- General urologic concerns in adult men and women
She works collaboratively with UroPartners urologists to help ensure accurate diagnosis and continuity of care.
Procedures & Treatments
As a Physician Assistant, Mackenzie provides nonsurgical urologic care and supports in-office and clinical services, including:
- Comprehensive urologic evaluations and follow-up visits
- Urinary catheter placements, exchanges, and void trials
- Bladder ultrasounds, digital rectal exams (DREs), and testicular examinations
- Patient education and counseling on urologic conditions and prostate surveillance
- Medication management and tobacco cessation counseling
- Pre- and post-procedure care coordination and surgical first-assisting support
Her role focuses on improving access to care, enhancing patient understanding, and supporting treatment plans developed in collaboration with the physician team.
