Dr. Adamsky is originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from Cornell University with high honors with a degree in biology and a minor in music. She received her medical degree from the University of Florida, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her general surgery internship and urology residency training at the University of Chicago.
During her residency, Dr. Adamsky received advanced training in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, urologic oncology, medical and surgical management of stone disease, prosthetics for urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction, voiding dysfunction, and treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. She has presented her clinical research at multiple national urology meetings and has a number of publications in peer-reviewed urology journals.
In her practice, Dr. Adamsky believes in the importance of open and honest communication with patients and their families. She believes that when patients understand more about their health, they are better equipped to make informed decisions. She is committed to establishing strong physician-patient relationships.
Laurie Bachrach, MD is a board-certified Urologist with expertise in minimally invasive and robotic procedures. Her areas of interest include kidney masses, kidney stones, prostate enlargement, prostate cancer, and bladder cancer.
Dr. Bachrach did her undergraduate studies at the University of Washington. She worked in bioinformatics for a few years before choosing a career in medicine. She received her MD from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood and completed her Urology residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. In addition to her private practice work at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and Elmhurst Memorial hospital, she is a Clinical Instructor in the Loyola University Health System. She previously spent time doing medical work in Mongolia, Bolivia, and Guatemala and is conversant in Spanish.
Dr. Bachrach believes in shared decision-making and is also a compassionate care provider who values her relationships with her patients and fellow physicians.
Stephen Hurley, DO recently joined Uropartners after finishing his residency in Urologic Surgery at John H. Stroger Cook County Hospital. He was raised in the Chicagoland area and earned his bachelor of science in Biology from Elmhurst College. He received his doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Hurley is a general urologist trained in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. He has a special interest in stone disease, male and female incontinence, prostate enlargement, prostate cancer, and bladder cancer.
Dr. Hurley believes that teaching his patients about their disease process is a core tenant to the patient-physician relationship, so he ensures that patients leave his office with an improved understanding of their urological issues. He believes that a patient who is well-educated about their medical problems is better equipped to make shared decisions regarding their urologic care.
